SHSL will sponsor the fantastic British Soccer Camp on August 4 - 8. This year we'll have camp activities for kids from 4 to 18. You can register on-line directly with British Soccer Camp. The Soccer Academy at SHSL will be a new type of training environment. The Academy is for 8-9 year olds (as of Aug. 1, 2008) who want to develop soccer skills. The emphasis of SHSL's Academy is to develop individual skills. To accomplish this goal, the academy emphasizes player development over winning. In addition, teams will be formed and reformed throughout the season to emphasize certain skills and enhance player development.
Unlike most recreational soccer teams, Academy features a professional, licensed trainer (to be named soon). The fees include a set of jerseys, shorts and socks. Academy teams will travel to nearby clubs to put skills learned in practice to work in game conditions. Depending on demand, SHSL's Academy may be Coed or split into Girls-only and Boys division. Also, age groups may be combined. For more on the academy review our flyer or our Academy Program FAQ. Or please send us an e-mail for further information.
SHSL expects to have 2 teams in the Florida Suncoast Soccer League next fall. We expect to have an over 20 men's team and an over 40 men's team. Please send us an e-mail for further information.
SHSL's coed in-house adult recreational soccer league is on summer break. However, we will play occasional pick up games throughout the summer. Send us an e-mail to get more information.
